Zellberg is situated opposite of the entrance to the Gerlostal. The village stretches from Zellbergeben on the bottom of the Zillertal, over numerous isolated farmhouses to the alpine pastures. The settlement of Zellbergebene is absolutely contrarily to the rural farming settlements on the mountain slopes. Zellbergeben, which is divided from Zell only by the Ziller River is economically linked with neighbouring Zell: industrial and commercial enterprises as well as large guesthouses attract many commuters, which makes Zellberg unique among the group of mountain villages, where people generally have to commute. |
