Uderns is situated in the lower Zillertal. It is subdivided into the centre of Uderns, the expanding villages of Finsing and Kleinboden on the fan of the Finsing Torrent and the rural village of Kupfernberg. In contrast to Kupfernberg with its emphasis on the farming sector, the other villages offer a wide range of different small- and medium-sized businesses, including one company designing and producing artificial climbing walls for the European market. A day care centre for disabled children and teenagers for the lower Zillertal is placed in Uderns.
