Faggen is the smallest village in the upper Tyrolean Inntal, also known as the "Oberes Gericht" region. Most of Faggen is situated on the fan of the Faggen Torrent, which runs out of the Kaunertal. The name is Romanic in origin and means "village where to cross multi-streamed water" (Faggenbach Torrent). Today Faggen has still a rural character due to agriculture. There are hardly any companies in Faggen though it is a very popular place to live in.
