Schenna, on the western slopes of the Ifinger Mountain, is situated northeast of Meran, at the entrance to the Passeiertal. The Passer River in the west and the Naifbach Torrent in the south form the natural borders of the village. The central village is located in a trough on the mountain slopes. The scattered village of Schennaberg lies above it. The villages of Verdins and Tall stretch along the northern slopes of the Passeiertal. Schenna, in contrast to the other settlements, is no longer characterized by agriculture, but by tourism. Tourism in Schenna has developed due to the proximity to Meran and Schenna's location in the district of Burggrafenamt, where a wide range of attractions and activities for tourists are offered all year long.
