Kuens, the smallest village in South Tyrol, is situated in close proximity to the villages of Tirol and Rifian. Kuens "stretches" from the bottom of the valley right of the Passer River up to the terrace, on which the village centre is situated. Even though Kuens is a politically independent village, it forms an administrative unit with Riffian. The two villages have a shared community centre and shared societies. 65 hectares in Kuens are farming land, on which fruit-growing is dominant. Due to its location within a popular holiday region, tourism plays some role in Kuens too. |
