The small village of Vorderhornbach was built on the fan of the Horn Torrent. The Hornbachtal is the only settled valley left of the Lechtal. Vorderhornbach, which was built around the church, is situated away from the main roads. Agriculture plays only a minor role in the village and most people are obliged to commute. Hinterhornbach once belonged to the large village and parish of Wängle in the Reuttener Basin. It was the village furthest inside the Lechtal.
