Elmen is a relatively compact scattered village on a fan in the upper Lech Valley. A bypass was built to limit traffic passing through the village. The hamlet of Martinau, on the orographic left side of the Lech River, attracts visitors every spring when the lady's slipper is in bloom. The road that links Imst with Elmen over the Hahntennjoch Pass through the Bschlaber Valley is especially popular among motorcyclists. One of the most famous destinations in the entire Lech Valley is the Stabl-Alm above Elmen.
