The market town of Nußdorf-Debant (since 1995) is situated in the eastern part of the Lienzer Basin. The village encompasses the two centres Nußdorf and Debant and the scattered villages on Mount Nußdorf and on the western slopes of the Debanttal. The old scattered village of Nußdorf on the foot of Mount Nußdorf has been expanding due to new developments. Debant is a new development from the second half of the 20th century. It is situated on both sides of the Drautalstraße Road and has an industrial area. The enormous increase in population has made Nußdorf-Debant the third largest village in the district with a high proportion of commuters. |
