Going (798 m) is situated west of St. Johann between the Kitzbüheler Alps in the south and the Wilde Kaiser Mountain Range in the north. The pointy silhouette of the Wilde Kaiser Mountain Range, can be found in the village emblem. In 1159 it was mentioned under the name of "Gouwingen" in a document for the first time. This name clearly indicates its Bavarian origin. Today Going heavily relies on tourism. Going is well known for Tyrol's most beautiful swimming lake, which can be found in Prama. Another attraction of Going is Austria's first music pavilion that can be lowered.
