Image collection »Ötztaler Ache«
At Zwieselstein in the Ötztal Valley the Venter- and Gurgler Ache meet forming the Ötztaler Ache. Before the river meets the Inn west of Ötztal Bahnhof, it runs through narrow gorges and wide basins, such as the Längenfeld Basin. The rockslides, which are typical for the Ötztal Valley, have characterized the way the river flows. One famous tourist centre within the valley is Sölden.
