The Grödnerbach has its source at the Sella Joch, at the border between South Tyrol and the Trentino. Before the river flows into the Eisack at Waidbruck, it runs through well-known villages such as Wolkenstein, St. Christina and St. Ulrich. The main source of income within the Grödner Valley, in which Ladinic is spoken, is tourism.
