The sources of the Antholzerbach lie in the area around the Staller Sattel. The Antholzer River runs through the valley and Rasen, the largest village in the valley. The river flows into the Rienz at Olang. A great number of its tributary streams transport a lot of sand and gravel, especially after heavy rainfalls. The Antholzer See lies near the river's source.
