Image collection »Terlan/ Terlano«

Terlan is situated northwest of Bozen on the north-western side of the Etschtal including 9 km of slopes up the Tschöggl Mountain in the direction towards Meran. Terlan, located on a gentle slope, is dominated by the high church with its pointy steeple. The local economy of Terlan together with the incorporated villages of Siebeneich and Vilpian, is based on fruit-growing and wine. The two farming sectors dominate the bottom of the Etschtal from Lana to Salurn. Terlan is very famous among oenophiles. Within the last few years the cultivation of asparagus, with Terlan's popular Asparagus Week Festival, has boomed.
