Image collection »Bach«

Bach is subdivided into several villages and hamlets. The centre with its hill topped parish church stretches along the Alperschon Torrent. Further up the valley Stockach with its church (the village originally got its name from) and the hamlet of Schönau are situated. On a narrow terrace north of the valley several detached farmhouses and small groups of farmhouses can be found. Obergiblen, just behind Bach further down the valley, already belongs to Elbigenalp. Many houses are decorated with frescos done by the people living in the Lech Valley, who had to look for work abroad to gain a living. Bach is a very popular starting point for hiking tours into the uninhabited valleys in the Lechtaler Alps (Madautal and Sulztal Valley).
