Image collection »Bad Häring«

Häring, which was renamed in Bad (Spa) Häring in 1965, is situated on a sunny plateau on the southern side of the Inntal, between Kufstein and Wörgl. The well defined centre of the former mining village is surrounded by several hamlets. From the second half of the 18th century till 1954 brown coal was mined in the Pölven Mountain. Since 1854 marl and limestone for the production of cement have been quarried. After sulphured water had been detected in 1951, Bad Häring has become a centre for spa and health tourism. In 1996 Bad Häring became Tyrol's first climatic health resort. Besides the modern spa resort, the in 1973 opened rehabilitation centre belongs to the main health infrastructure.
