The Schober Mountain Range is a high mountain massif within the Central Alps and belongs to the Hohe Tauern Mountain Range. The provincial border between Carinthia and East Tyrol runs along the summits. Parts of the summits are covered with glaciers. Among the highest peaks are the Roter Knopf (3281 m) and the Hochschober (3242 m).
