Image collection »Hornbachtal«

The Hornbachtal is the only populated side valley of the River Lech and lies on the orographic left side and is, therefore, located in the Allgäuer Alps. Due to limited access from the Lechtal, the Hornbachtal was settled over the ridges from the neighbouring Oberallgäu. The tiny community of Hinterhornbach covers the whole valley that nowadays has a good road link to the Lechtal. Hamlets and individual farms are strung out along the road in the inner part of the valley. The scenery is dominated by the Hochvogel, one of the most striking peaks in the Allgäuer Alps.
