The 45 metres-high Pöllat waterfalls, fed by the river of the same name, are located close to Neuschwanstein Castle and the community of Hohenschwangau. From the Marienbrücke bridge across the falls, one gets an impressive view of both the falls and King Ludwig's fairy tale castle. There is another waterfall with a height of 10 metres at the end of the Pöllatschlucht gorge.
