Image collection »Iselsberg«
The Iselsberg is a link between East Tyrol and Carinthia. The Iselsberg provides access to the Mölltal valley and on further to the Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße mountain road. Before the construction of the Felber Tauern Tunnel the unfavourable location of East Tyrol meant that it was isolated from North Tyrol which is why good links to Carinthia were built up which in part still exist today. In this connection the Iselsberg played an important role.
